| Dear Region III Members, NCURA Region III is seeking nominations for the position of: Incoming Chair-Elect, Regionally Elected Board Member & Secretary Please consider whether you or a colleague may wish to serve NCURA Region III in one of these roles. The term for this incoming Chair-Elect position begins January 1, 2027, following the election. The IncomingChair-Elect: -Serves as a member of the Executive Committee when service as Chair-Elect starts. -Serves as the Chair of the Program Committee for the annual Regional Meeting when service as Chair-Elect starts. -Supervises the activities of Standing Committees appointed to the Chair-Elect per the Region’s Organizational Chart. -Plans and executes the Regional Annual Meeting. -Other duties as agreed upon. The Regionally Elected Board Member: -Serves as a non-voting guest of the Executive Committee. -Serves on the Governing Board of the National Council (see description in National NCURA administrative policies). -Informs region membership of pertinent information from the National Organization. -Other duties as agreed upon. The Secretary: -Serves as a member of the Executive Committee. -Supervises the activities of Standing Committees appointed to the Secretary per the Region’s Organizational Chart. -Responsible for all non-financial records of the Region. -Records the minutes of regional business meetings and provides all other information and documentation required by the Chair to prepare reports to the Regional Executive Committee and National Organization. -Serves as archivist of the Region. -Responsible for dissemination of membership information regarding regional activities through various social media and other outlets (e.g., email listserv, regional newsletter). The Regional executive committee shall review and finalize a slate of candidates. Region III members will be notified when electronic ballots are available.
