Why Volunteer in Research Administration?
As research administrators, we play a vital role in advancing knowledge, supporting innovation, and ensuring the integrity of research. Volunteering within our professional community allows you to grow personally and professionally while giving back to the field that supports so many.
Here’s what volunteering can do for you:
- Expand Your Professional Network
Connect with colleagues across institutions, agencies, and disciplines. Build lasting relationships that can lead to new collaborations, mentorship, and career opportunities. - Strengthen Your Leadership Skills
Take on meaningful roles in committees, working groups, or event planning. Gain hands-on experience in leadership, policy development, and strategic planning—skills that directly translate to your work in research administration. - Support and Shape the Profession
Help develop best practices, contribute to training initiatives, and influence the future of research administration. Your voice and expertise can help advance the standards and success of our shared work.
Interested in Getting Involved?
