Research Administrators' Cookbook
Fellow NCURA Region III Colleagues-
We have been invited by NCURA Vice President Judy Fredenberg to enter into a friendly competition with the other 6 regions to serve a good cause. This year's national fundraising forum will be to publish and sell The Research Administrators' Cookbook with proceeds going to the not-for-profit organization Feed America. And the region with the most members submitting recipes will receive a special acknowledgement in the cookbook!
Of course, as Southerners, we invented hospitality, and practically make up the entire population of the Food Network. This should be a shew in for us. Not only do we have a different style of barbecue from every state, we've got all manner of Cajun or Soul, Fried Chicken, Shrimp'n'Grits, various pickles and preserves and jams and jellies, cobblers, hushpuppies, crab cakes, hopping john, corn bread, chicken salad, different kinds of slaw and potato salads, teas, punches, beach cocktails, desserts, biscuits and gravy, chicken-n-dressing, fried green tomatoes, fried dill pickles, fried anything-else-you-can-think-of, and the sauces that go with them... you name it! Wooo-Whee!!! I really truly believe we have an unfair advantage over any other region!!! But you know how Region III loves showing off and being the best, so let's show those other regions what real good cooking is all about. Get in touch with your inner Paula Dean or Paul Prudhomme and pull out those recipes (or borrow some from your Mama). You can enter as many times as you like.
The submission deadline is SEPTEMBER 27, 2010. Do what you tell your investigators to do... get it in early!!! It's for a great cause and helps to once again show Region III is one beachin' region!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with!
